Who Needs a License

- Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Gain required years of practical engineering experience under a licensed PE
- Pass the Professional Engineering (PE) exam

Fla. Stat. § 489.1131 allows credit for relevant military training and education toward experience requirements.

Apply directly to DBPR (not through local Pompano Beach offices). The state board administers all exams and credentials.

Local Requirements
