Real Estate Licensing in Naples city, Florida
Who Needs a License
In Florida, a real estate license is required to act as a broker, sales associate, or property manager in exchange for compensation. Under Fla. Stat. § 489.105, a "broker" is defined as any person who, for compensation, sells, exchanges, purchases, rents, or leases real property or a business opportunity, or who offers to perform these acts.
A "sales associate" is a person employed by or associated with a broker to perform real estate activities on the broker's behalf. A "property manager" is someone who, for compensation, manages residential or commercial property, collects rent, or handles tenant relations.
If you perform any of these activities in Naples for payment, you must hold a current, active license issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
