Stat. § 489.105, a "home inspector" is defined as a person who inspects buildings or structures and provides a written report on their condition. This includes inspections of residential properties, structural systems, mechanical systems, and safety components.
Any person conducting home inspections for hire in Jacksonville must hold a valid Florida home inspector license issued by the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB).
