Sec. 322.101. - Scope.
This Chapter shall apply to all mobile homes which are erected, located, installed, moved or placed in use on a site within the City, except as follows:
(a)
Mobile homes displayed on sales lots.
(b)
Mobile homes used for other than dwelling purposes as permitted in the Zoning Code.
(c)
Mobile homes installed on a permanent site and in use on September 11, 1971, except that existing mobile homes which are relocated to a new site within the City shall comply with Sections 322.104 and 322.105 at the new location.
(d)
Travel trailers, campers or other portable shelter used temporarily for dwelling purposes for a period not to exceed 30 days.

Sec. 322.102. - Construction standards.
Mobile homes and their design, fabrication and construction, including electrical, mechanical and plumbing installations therein, shall conform to the provisions of this Chapter and, on matters not detailed in this Chapter, shall conform to the standards of good engineering practice.

Sec. 322.103. - Definitions.
For the purposes of this Chapter:
(a)
Mobile home means a detached, vehicular, portable structure built on a chassis, designed and used as a single-family dwelling unit and constructed to be transported after fabrication on its own wheels upon streets or highways.
(b)
Reference standard means the standard specified in Section 322.102.

Sec. 322.104. - Permit required.
It shall be unlawful and a violation of this Building Code for a person hereafter to erect, locate, park, move on or place a mobile home intended for use or occupancy on a site prior to the issuance of a permit in accordance with Chapter 320, Part 4, except that mobile homes may be located in an approved mobile home park for a period not to exceed 30 days without the permit being required.

Sec. 322.105. - Seal and certification required.
No permit shall be issued for a mobile home that does not bear the seal of approval and certificate required by the State pursuant to F.S. Ch. 320 unless proof is furnished that the mobile home was manufactured prior to September 11, 1971.

Sec. 322.106. - Installation standards.
Mobile homes shall be installed with foundations and anchoring systems adequate to sustain wind loads safely and in accordance with the regulations of the State.
