PART 1. - PROPERTY INSURANCE
Sec. 760.101. - Tax imposed.
Pursuant to the provisions of F.S. Ch. 175 there is hereby assessed and imposed on every insurance company, corporation or other insurer engaging in the business of property insurance, as shown by the records of the State Treasurer, in his capacity as State Insurance Commissioner, in addition to all other excise or license taxes, an excise or license tax upon the privilege of engaging in or carrying on the business of property insurance in the City amounting to 1.85 percent of the gross amount of receipts of premium from policyholders on all premiums collected on property insurance policies covering property in the City.

Sec. 760.102. - Manner of collection.
The tax imposed by Section 760.101 shall be payable to the State Treasurer annually on the first day of March of each year as provided by F.S. Ch. 175 and each insurance company, corporation or other insurer hereby assessed shall receive credit for the amount thereof when paid, as provided by law.

Sec. 760.103. - Distribution of revenues.
Funds received by the City under F.S. Ch. 175 shall be paid by the City immediately into the 1937 Police and Fire Department Pension Fund created by Laws of Fla. Ch. 18615(1937), as amended, as required by Laws of Fla. Ch. 65-1746.

Sec. 760.104. - Penalty for violation.
It shall be unlawful and a class C offense for a person to violate a provision of this Part.

PART 2. - CASUALTY INSURANCE
Sec. 760.201. - Tax imposed.
Pursuant to the provisions of F.S. Ch. 185, there is hereby assessed and imposed on every insurance company, corporation or other insurer engaging in the business of casualty insurance, in addition to all other excise or license taxes, an excise or license tax upon the privilege of engaging in or carrying on the business of casualty insurance in the City, amounting to 0.85 percent of the gross amount of receipts of premiums from policyholders on all premiums collected on casualty insurance policies covering property in the City.
