Sec. 106.1102. - Duties and responsibilities.

Each Department and/or Division should have at least one (1) Responsible Revenue Protection Official who will: (a) Possess knowledge and understanding of all policies, procedures, practices, regulations laws and rules of the Department/Division revenue stream(s) and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, resolutions and rules whether local, state or federal. (b) Forecast revenue necessary to support Department/Division goals and objectives for each fiscal year. (c) Analyze, maximize and monitor City revenue stream(s) including all appropriate balance sheet accounts and report any areas of inefficiencies, irregularities and opportunities for improvement directly to Department Director and/or Division Chief. (d) Communicate and cooperate with Responsible Billing Official and Revenue Manager (Chapter 112.102 ), Department Director and/or Division Chief on an ongoing basis, to discuss all issues relating to the Department's revenue streams. (e) Protect and safeguard City revenue to ensure funds are accurately processed and are securely managed from receipting to depositing, and to posting in the books and records of the City.
