Sec. 106.901 - Career Development Program.

The council hereby authorizes and directs the Director of Employee Services Department to develop a Career Development Program and policy for the benefit of employees of the City and its Constitutional Offices filling authorized full-time positions. The Council recognizes that this program will provide a benefit for both the employee and the City. The objectives of this program are: (a) To improve the employee's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position currently occupied by the employee; (b) To improve the employee's capability to perform in and to assume additional duties and responsibilities within the employee's job category; and (c) To develop and improve the employee's ability and knowledge within his or her occupation area to meet current or anticipated needs within the City and its Independent Agencies.
