Sec. 106.902. - Eligibility criteria.

Employees who meet the following criteria shall be eligible for career development assistance: (a) The employee shall be required to attend an accredited university or college. (b) Assistance will only be granted to the employee upon satisfactory completion of the course as evidenced by an official grade report showing a grade of "C" or better and proof that the employee actually incurred the cost of the course. (c) Prior to the approval of the career development assistance by the Department Head or designee, each employee must agree to repay the City any tuition reimbursement that occurred within 12 months of terminating City employment. (d) A maximum number of hours an employee may receive assistance for within a calendar year shall be established by the Department of Employee Services and is subject to budgetary constraints.
