Sec. 111.153. - Mayor's Asian American Advisory Board Trust Fund.

There is created within the General Trust and Agency Fund a trust fund account to be known as the Mayor's Asian American Advisory Board Trust Fund (hereinafter referred to as the Fund ). The Mayor's Asian American Advisory Board (hereinafter called the "Board"), created by Executive Order Number 2003-07, shall deposit into the Fund all donations and contributions of money, including gifts and grants, it receives for its use toward attaining its purposes, functions and goals, which include the awarding of educational scholarships based on policies set by the Board. All such donations and contributions, as well as the Board's expenditures and cash balances, shall be accounted for separately within the Fund by the Board. All sums placed into the Fund by the Board are hereby appropriated to the Board for its use toward attaining its purposes, functions and goals and shall not lapse at the close of any fiscal year, but instead shall carry over to the next fiscal year. The Director of Finance and Administration, or designee, is authorized and directed to make disbursements from the Fund upon written requisition of the Board's chair, or designee, subject to the availability of funds in the Fund. Nothing in this Section shall prohibit or otherwise limit any appropriations which may be made by Council to the Commission for use toward attaining its purposes, functions and goals. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no City funds shall be appropriated to this Fund without prior approval by the City Council.
