Sec. 111.470. - Nuisance Abatement Lien Special Revenue Fund.

There is hereby created the Nuisance Abatement Lien Special Revenue Fund, a permanent fund of the City within the Neighborhoods Department, into which monies derived from the collection of liens pursuant to Sections 518.211 (payment and enforcement of lien and interest thereon), 518.308 (demolition liens), and 91.107 and 91.112 (administrative liens), Ordinance Code, and other civil penalties collected pursuant to the citation and enforcement authority contained in Part 2 of Chapter 518 , Ordinance Code, resulting from the City's prosecution of nuisances, shall be deposited from time-to-time. Such monies as are deposited in this fund are to be self-appropriating and shall be divided amongst the Neighborhoods Department, Municipal Code Compliance Division (49 percent), and the Public Works Department, Mowing and Landscape Maintenance Division (51 percent), and shall be used solely for the purpose of funding the abatement of nuisances. The monies deposited in this fund shall not lapse at the end of any fiscal year and shall remain available for expenditure for the purposes set forth herein. No later than December 31 annually, the Director of the Neighborhoods Department and the Director of the Public Works Department, or their respective designees, shall each provide a report of revenues, expenditures, and abatements for their respective Departments for the prior fiscal year to City Council and the Council Auditor.
