Sec. 111.860. - Mayor's Education Initiative Trust Fund.

There is hereby created within the General Trust and Agency Fund a trust fund account to be known as the Mayor's Education Initiative Trust Fund, hereinafter the Fund, into which shall be deposited all donations, contributions of money, gifts and related sponsorships received by the City for use toward achieving the goals and purposes of the Fund, which goals and purposes shall be the promotion, enrichment and enhancement of educational opportunities in Duval County. All sums placed into the Fund shall be accounted for separately within the Fund. All sums placed into the Fund, which shall include all interest earned or accrued thereon, are hereby appropriated and shall carry over fiscal years to be used to achieve the goals and purposes described herein. The Director of Finance and Administration, or his or her designee, is authorized and directed to make disbursements from the Fund upon the written requisition of the Education Program Manager and the prior review and approval of the Chief Financial Officer, subject to the availability of funds in the Fund.
