Sec. 122.309. - Authorization and utilization.

It shall be the duty of the Chief of Fleet Management to establish utilization criteria, including time and distance criteria and cost effectiveness criteria for motor vehicles owned or leased by the City and its independent agencies. He shall establish vehicle authorization lists, maintain records of vehicle utilization, withdraw vehicles from low utilization areas and reassign them to higher utilization areas with the objective of achieving maximum economical use of motor vehicles owned or leased by the City and its independent agencies. The independent agencies shall cooperate with the Chief of Fleet Management in establishing the utilization criteria, authorization lists and reassignment of vehicles for maximum economic utilization within their agencies.
