Sec. 122.802. - Record and inventory required.

Each item of tangible personal property owned by the City which it is practicable to identify by marking shall be marked in the manner required by the State Auditor General and entered on a property record containing the information required by the Auditor General. A complete physical inventory of all tangible personal property shall be taken annually, and the date of the inventory shall be entered on the property. The inventory shall be compared with the property record and discrepancies shall be traced and reconciled. An inventory shall also be taken whenever there is a change in accountable officers, for the property under the control and in the custody of the accountable officer; and the accountable officer shall not be relieved of his responsibility and accountability for this property until the inventory is completed, any discrepancies are reconciled and his successor has accepted the inventory, which shall be the basis for the successor accountable officer's initial accountability under this Part.
