Sec. 123.107. - Exemptions.

(a) The Office of the State Attorney, Fourth Judicial Circuit, is exempt from the payment of fees required for rescue reports and fire incidents reports. (b) Not-for-profit organizations created pursuant to 501(C)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code are exempt from the payment of fees required for hospital/nursing food service annual permit fee. (c) Gold Star Families, who are Duval County Residents, shall be exempt from park admission fees as described in Section 123.102 , Ordinance Code. A Gold Star Family is the immediate family member(s) of a fallen service member who died while serving in an active duty status. The Military Affairs and Veterans Department shall administer a program, to be locally known as the "Timothy Seamans Gold Star Family exemption program," whereby a Gold Star Family must apply annually for the waiver of park admission fees to various parks (including the annual passes, where applicable). Upon the completion of the application and verification by the Military Affairs and Veterans Department, the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department will issue an annual pass for admission to all City parks to the Gold Star Family, which may be renewed annually subject to the administrative process created by the Military Affairs and Veterans Department in coordination with the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.
