Sec. 123.108. - Military and Veterans' Appreciation Program; Reduction of certain park fees for military and veterans.

There is hereby approved and adopted within the City a "Military and Veterans' Appreciation Program." The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is authorized to reduce current daily admission fees by one-half for fees charged at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park and Huguenot Memorial Park (which may be applied to car, pedestrian and biker admission but not on annual passes) for all active military service members, veterans, and their immediate family members (spouse and children with valid military identification), regardless of residency in Jacksonville. In order to qualify for the reduced admission fees, the active military service member or veteran (or their immediate family member), must produce at the park entrance at the time of admission a state issued military ID, DD214 ID, or veteran ID.
