Sec. 158.217. - Conformance with State and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

(a) The emergency medical transportation services authorized by this Chapter shall, at all times, conform to all the requirements of State law and all other federal and Florida statutes, rules, regulations and local ordinances, rules and regulations, a violation of such State law, statutes, ordinances and rules at any level of government, shall be a violation of this Chapter. (b) The rules and regulations that may be promulgated by the Director shall be adopted only after notice to all EMTS certificate holders. Such EMTS certificate holders will be allowed to comment and have input on all such proposed rules and regulations. (c) The proposed rules and regulations shall be reviewed and approved or disapproved by PHS prior to implementation, in conformity with procedures specified in Section 158.306 . (d) The Director is authorized to promulgate rules and guidelines for the interpretation and implementation of this Chapter, subject to the provisions and conditions set forth in this Chapter.
