Sec. 160.109. - Assembly and setup.

Section: 160.109.

The assembly and setting up of amusement devices shall be as follows: (a) The assembly of an amusement device, permanent or temporary structure shall be done by or under the immediate supervision of a person experienced and instructed in the proper performance of such work with respect to such device or structure. Upon completion of such setup, and prior to use by the public, a professional engineer shall inspect the setup and shall by letter to the administrator indicate that he has inspected any and all devices to be used in the carnival and that they are installed in accordance with the mode in which tested. (b) Prior to approval by the professional engineer, either the manager or the professional engineer shall cause all electrical wiring to be installed by a master electrician in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 333 and the master electrician shall submit a letter along with that of the professional engineer indicating that he has installed, connected, grounded or inspected all the devices, rides, booths or other equipment to be used by the carnival and that they are in compliance with the provisions of the Electrical Code. (c) Prior to approval by the professional engineer, either the manager or the professional engineer shall obtain a letter of approval from the Public Health Unit, which letter shall be submitted along with that of the professional engineer, indicating that adequate sanitary waste facilities will be provided for any carnival or fair.
