Sec. 168.101. - Purpose.

The purpose of this Chapter is to encourage alarm users and alarm contractors (including, but not limited to, sales, installation, and/or monitoring) to maintain the operational reliability and the proper use of alarm systems so as to limit unnecessary police responses to false alarms and alarm malfunctions. This Chapter governs all alarm systems intended to summon police response, and requires registration, establishes fees, provides for fines for violation, and establishes a system of administration and collection procedures.
