Sec. 168.114. - Government Immunity.

Alarm registration is not intended to, nor will it, create a contract, duty or obligation, either express or implied, of response. The City of Jacksonville and Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are immune from tort liability except to the extent it is waived in F.S. § 768.28. By applying for an alarm registration, the alarm user acknowledges that the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office response may be influenced by factors such as: the availability of law enforcement officers, priority of calls, weather conditions, traffic conditions, emergency conditions, staffing levels and prior response history.
