Sec. 225.102. - Record keeping requirements.

Any individual, business, partnership, or corporation engaged in the business of the repair, sale, trade, and/or purchase of motor vehicles shall, prior to performing any repair or sale, trade, and/or purchase of any motor vehicle, motorcycle or major component thereof: (a) Record the name, address and telephone number of the individual requesting the repairs or involved in the transfer of ownership, (b) Record the year, make, and model of the motor vehicle or motorcycle to be repaired, sold, traded, and/or purchased, (c) Record the vehicle identification number of the motor vehicle or motorcycle to be repaired, sold, traded, and/or purchased, (d) Record the date of repair or transaction.
