Sec. 250.704. - Duty of solicitors.

(a) It shall be the duty of every solicitor upon going onto any premises in the City upon which a residence as herein defined is located, to first examine the notice provided for in this ordinance, if any is attached, and be governed by the statement contained on any notice. (b) If the notice substantially complies with Section 250.703 , then the solicitor, whether permitted or registered or not, shall immediately and peacefully depart from the premises or neighborhood. If a neighborhood has placed a notice at its entrance restricting solicitation, it shall be up to the solicitor to contact the City to verify the geographic boundaries to which such restriction applies. (c) Any solicitor who has gained entrance to any residence, whether invited or not, shall immediately and peacefully depart from the premises when requested to do so by the occupant.
