Sec. 250.709. - Duty of peddlers.

(a) It shall be the duty of every peddler, as defined in this Chapter, upon going onto any premises in the City upon which a residence as herein defined is located, to first examine the notice provided for in this ordinance, if any is attached, and be governed by the statement contained on any notice. (b) If the notice complies with Section 250.703 , then the peddler, whether or not he has a permit pursuant to this Chapter, shall immediately and peacefully depart from the premises or neighborhood. If a neighborhood has placed a notice at its entrance restricting peddling, it shall be up to the peddler to contact the City to verify the geographic boundaries to which such restriction applies. (c) Any peddler who has gained entrance to any residence, whether invited or not, shall immediately and peacefully depart from the premises when requested to do so by the occupant.
