Sec. 35.102. - Director.

The Director of Technology Solutions is the head of the Department and shall also be known as the Chief Information Officer. The Director shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the Council, and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The Director shall have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and five or more years of progressively responsible related experience in information technology, systems, strategic planning and project management or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities or other commensurate training and experience. The Director shall perform those duties set forth below, and those duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Mayor or her designate in connection with information technologies, or prescribed by law.
