Sec. 366.308. - Drainage or injection wells prohibited; exceptions.

(a) Except as provided in (b), drilling drainage or injection wells deeper than 35 feet below ground level surface is prohibited. (b) Drilling drainage or injection wells deeper than 35 feet is permitted if the well is part of a heat pump system, or a component of a plan, approved by a federal, State or local environmental regulatory agency, to remediate contaminated soil or impacted groundwater; or a permitted alternate water supplementary storage and recovery well.
