Sec. 462.1006. - Inspections.

(a) The signature of the applicant on the animal dealer or hobby breeder permit application constitutes consent by the permittee or prospective permittee for ACPS, or its designee, to perform unannounced inspections during reasonable hours of: (1) The entire premises where the animals are housed and maintained, (2) Every vehicle routinely used for transporting the animals, and (3) All pertinent records including sales transactions and veterinary records. (b) The animal dealer operation or hobby breeder operation shall allow ACPS or its designee access to inspect the areas and documents listed in subsection (a). If access is not provided within 24-hours of request by ACPS, an Animal Control Officer may petition for an inspection or search and seizure warrant in accordance with F.S. Ch. 933. (c) No animal dealer or hobby breeder permit shall issue or reissue without inspection by ACPS or its designee of the entire premises where the animals are or will be housed and maintained and every vehicle routinely used for or that will be routinely used for transporting the animals. (d) The permittee shall notify ACPS in advance of any alteration, remodeling or physical expansion to the animal dealer operation in order to allow ACPS the opportunity to inspect such remodeling.
