Sec. 474.102. - Definitions.

In this Chapter, unless the context otherwise requires: (a) Director means the Director of Duval County Health Department. (b) Permit means written approval for a sludge disposal or utilization site issued by the Director pursuant to guidelines for same as established by the Director, which shall be substantially the same as required by State rules, except that a permit shall be necessary for any and all sludge disposal or utilization sites within Duval County, whether exempted by State rules. (c) Sludge disposal or utilization site means any land site in the General Services District which is intended to be used for the disposal or utilization of sludge from a septic system or similar waste disposal device, including residue from a grease trap, and from any sanitary sewer treatment facility permitted by the State Department of Environmental Protection.
