Sec. 555.101. - Findings and determinations.

It is hereby found, determined and declared as follows: A. The legislative findings set forth and referenced in F.S. § 420.9072, are confirmed and adopted. B. This Chapter is enacted pursuant to and in accordance with Article VIII, Section 6 of the Constitution of the State of Florida; the City Charter, F.S. Ch. 125 and F.S. Ch. 166; F.S. Ch. 420, Pt. VI (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"); F.A.C. 67-37 (hereinafter referred to as the Rules ); and other applicable provisions of law, all as the same have been or may be amended and supplemented from time to time. C. This Chapter is enacted by the City in its capacity as Duval County and in the exercise of its County powers, and all subsequent ordinances and resolutions that may be amendatory or supplementary hereto or in furtherance hereof shall be deemed to be and shall constitute County ordinances or resolutions by this declaration without further declaration, description or expression. D. Notwithstanding the foregoing, pursuant to subsection B. of this Section, the City reserves the right to act in its capacity as a municipality and in the exercise of its municipal powers unless otherwise prohibited by law.
