Sec. 601.206. - Officer permitting escape.

It is unlawful and a class D offense for any law enforcement or correctional officer of the City, having in his or her custody any prisoner by virtue of a lawful arrest or process issued under the authority of the State or the United States, intentionally or with culpable negligence to permit, suffer or encourage the prisoner to escape. In addition, the officer shall be subject to disciplinary action, including dismissal from employment. (Ord. 97-890-E, § 1; Ord. 2011-232-E, § 2) Note— Former § 602.501 .
