Sec. 614.139. - Commercial washing of motor vehicles in right-of-way.

(a) It shall be unlawful and an offense for any person for pecuniary gain to wash any motor vehicle while the motor vehicle is within the City's right-of-way. (b) It shall be unlawful and an offense for any person to offer to do that which is prohibited by subsection (a) of this Section. (c) Any person violating a provision of this Section shall be guilty of an offense and shall upon conviction and adjudication of guilt be punished as follows: (1) For a first offense, by a fine of not more than $25 or by imprisonment of not more than ten days or by community service of not less than 50 hours; and (2) For a second and subsequent offense, by a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment of not less than 15 days nor more than 90 days or by community service of not less than 500 hours.
