Sec. 638.102. - Official court reporters required to report criminal proceedings.

Each official court reporter who receives a stipend or salary supplement pursuant to this Part shall devote his entire time to the reporting of criminal proceedings in the Circuit and County Courts, and shall be designated as an official court reporter-criminal. However, when approved by the Chief Judge, an official court reporter who does not spend substantially all his time reporting criminal proceedings, but who does report such proceedings on a frequent basis, may be authorized by the chief official court reporter to be paid a stipend or salary supplement as an official court reporter-civil.
