Sec. 638.205. - Other employment not prohibited.

Unless prohibited by the contract between the City and the chief public court reporter or public court reporter, the reporter shall not be prohibited from reporting in any of the courts of the state or the United States or from reporting proceedings and matters for private persons, and he may be compensated therefor without regard to any compensation to which he may be entitled under this Chapter. The chief public court reporter and each public court reporter engaged under an annual contract with the City shall not accept other employment which will interfere with the performance of his official duties for the City.
