The General Counsel, at the request of the Sheriff, shall institute a civil action in the County Court or Circuit Court, as the case may be, to: (a) Apply for an injunction or restraining order, whether temporary or permanent, to prevent a person from maintaining or continuing to maintain a public nuisance contrary to the provisions of this Section, or from failing or refusing to remove, terminate or abate a public nuisance. (b) Enjoin and abate a public nuisance declared by this Section. (c) Compel the performance of an act specifically required of a person to remove, terminate or abate a public nuisance.
