Sec. 674.213. - Authority to accept services, gifts, etc.

(a) Whenever the State or federal government offers to the City services, equipment, supplies, materials or funds, by way of gift, grant or loan, for the purpose of emergency preparedness, the Mayor may accept the offer on behalf of the City and utilize the services, equipment, supplies, materials or funds subject to the terms of the offer and the rules and regulations, if any, of the agency making the offer. Funds accepted by the Mayor may be expended only after appropriation by the Council. (b) Whenever a person offers to the City services, equipment, supplies, materials or funds, by way of gift, grant or loans, for the purpose of emergency preparedness, the Mayor, acting through the Chief, may accept the offer on behalf of the City and utilize the services, equipment, supplies, materials or funds subject to the terms of the offer.
