Sec. 692.207. - Issuance; denial.

(a) Upon completion of the investigation of an application, the Sheriff shall either approve or disapprove the application. If approved, the license shall be issued upon payment of the license fee provided in Section 692.214 , evidenced by a receipt of the Tax Collector showing payment of the fee. (b) If the application is disapproved, the Sheriff shall give the applicant, through its representative, notice of the disapproval and the reasons therefor. If the results of the investigation indicate that the applicant may be eligible if corrective or remedial action is taken by it, the Sheriff shall afford the applicant an opportunity, within a reasonable time allowed by the Sheriff, to take such action and become eligible, the application (with any necessary amendments) shall be approved and the license shall be issued upon payment of the license fee provided in Section 692.214 , evidenced by a receipt of the Tax Collector showing payment of the fee. If the applicant fails or refuses to take such action within the time allowed by the Sheriff, or if the results of the investigation indicate that no corrective or remedial action by the applicant is possible, the disapproval by the Sheriff shall be final.
