Sec. 710.109. - Residential and multiple-unit subscriber rates.

(a) Subject to applicable federal law, the rates and charges for residential cable television service shall be fair, reasonable and nondiscriminatory within each classification of subscribers; provided that subject to applicable federal law, the Franchisee may adopt differing rates for reasonable classifications of subscribers, including but not limited to multiple dwelling units and extensions to outlying areas. (b) Subject to applicable federal law, the Franchisee may add an additional monthly charge for the maintenance and use of a converter or other reception equipment, if such equipment is furnished by the Franchisee. (c) The Franchisee may waive installation and other service charges as permitted by law as part of a promotional effort to obtain subscribers. (d) The Franchisee, to the extent permitted by law, may implement reasonable fees and charges for processing bad checks, for reconnection after disconnection for nonpayment and for collection at the subscriber premises after notice of intent to disconnect.
