Sec. 754.211. - Penalties; civil penalties.

(a) Any person who violates any provisions of Part 2 of this Chapter shall be guilty of a class D offense; however, the violator may be punished by a fine, either alone or in addition to the imprisonment that may be imposed for class D offenses, not to exceed $2,000 a day. (b) Municipal code enforcement pursuant to Chapter 609 , Ordinance Code, is supplemental to enforcement taken by the Director or law enforcement officers. (c) Violations of this Part shall be punishable by a civil penalty of not more than $2,000 for the first offense and of not more than $2,000 for each offense thereafter. (d) Each day during any portion of which such violation occurs shall constitute a separate offense. (e) The remedies and penalties provided in this Chapter are not exclusive, and the City may seek whatever other remedies are authorized by statute, at law or in equity, against any person who violates the provisions of this Chapter.
