Sec. 772.306. - Cafes, restaurants and other eating places.

(a) Every person engaged in the business of operating a restaurant, cafe, snack bar, take-out service, dining room, drive-in eating establishment or other public eating place, whether operated in conjunction with some other line of business or not, shall pay a license tax based on the number of people for whom he has seats or accommodations for the service or consumption of food at any one time, in accordance with the following schedule: (1) Not more than 10 seats—$25.00 (2) More than 10 and not over 15 seats—$37.50 (3) More than 15 and not over 35 seats—$50.00 (4) More than 35 and not over 50 seats—$75.00 (5) More than 50 and not over 75 seats—$106.25 (6) More than 75 and not over 100 seats—$137.50 (7) More than 100 and not over 125 seats—$156.25 (8) More than 125 and not over 150 seats—$162.50 (9) More than 150 and not over 200 seats—$218.75 (10) More than 200 and not over 250 seats—$250.00 (11) More than 250 and not over 300 seats—$281.25 (12) More than 300 and not over 400 seats—$375.00 (13) More than 400 and not over 500 seats—$437.50 (14) More than 500 and not over 600 seats—$500.00 (15) More than 600 seats—$625.00 (b) Drive-in restaurants where customers are served while seated in their cars shall pay a license tax of $70. The license required by this subsection shall be in addition to the license required in subsection (a) of this Section.
