Sec. 804.203. - Records of traffic violations.

(a) The Clerk of the County Court shall keep a record of all violations of this Code and of the State vehicle laws the violation of which any person has been charged, together with a record of the final disposition of the alleged offenses. The record shall be so maintained as to show the types of violations and the totals of each. The record shall accumulate during at least a three-year period and shall be maintained complete for the most recent three-year period. (b) Records of violations shall include arrest dockets, summons and notices issued by police officers and Parking Facilities and Enforcement Division personnel. Each document shall be serially numbered and numerically filed. A cumulative total shall be maintained on a daily, monthly and yearly basis, which will be the official traffic enforcement record totals of the City. The records will be made available to other official governmental agencies upon request and to the public, showing the disposition of each document and the disposal of the records. (c) The Sheriff's Office will receive a copy of the arrest dockets, summons and notices and, through the facilities of the Information Technology Division, accomplish and record necessary statistical information for initiating comprehensive traffic enforcement programs and required reports. (d) Whenever the statistical information is unavailable through the facilities of the Information Technology Division, the information shall be furnished by the Clerk of the County Court upon a written request from the Sheriff's Office.
