Sec. 804.209. - Duties of Traffic Engineer.

(a) The City Traffic Engineer, with the approval of the Sheriff, is authorized and empowered to adopt, alter, delete or change those rules which are determined by an engineering study to be necessary to regulate and govern all traffic, both pedestrian and vehicular, in the City not otherwise provided by law. All the rules shall be in writing and copies of the rules shall be kept by the City Traffic Engineer, the Sheriff's Office and the Council Secretary. (b) The City Traffic Engineer shall place and maintain control signs, signals and devices when and as required by the traffic rules and this Code and may place and maintain such additional traffic-control devices as he may deem necessary to guide or warn traffic.
