Sec. 82.103. - Officers; Executive Director; administrative support.

(a) The chair shall preside at all meetings of the Council on Elder Affairs and shall appoint the members of the various committees and task forces established by the Council on Elder Affairs. In the event of a vacancy in the position of Executive Director as provided in Section 82.103 (c), Ordinance Code, the chair shall exercise the duties and functions of the Executive Director. (b) The Council on Elder Affairs shall have an Executive Director, who shall be appointed by the Mayor. The position may be funded by federal, state, charitable foundation or other grants, and City resources as may be received and appropriated by the City Council. The Executive Director shall perform those duties as outlined in the job description and delegated and assigned by the Council on Elder Affairs. (c) The Executive Director position shall be selected from candidates' applications according to the Employee Services Directive 0123 for Appointed Official Recruiting and Hiring Process.
