Section 16. - Application of the Florida Electrical Power Plant Siting Act.

Notwithstanding the megawatt capacity of any electrical power plant or plants included in the solid waste disposal and resource recovery system, the provisions of the Florida Electrical Power Plant Siting Act, ss. 403.501—403.517, Florida Statutes, may apply, at the election of the city, to any such power plant or plants, and such power plant or plants may be considered electrical power plants as defined in the Florida Electrical Power Plant Siting Act.
