Section 2. - [Effective date.]

This act shall take effect only upon its approval by a majority vote of those qualified electors voting in a dual referendum election which shall be called and held by the City of Jacksonville in the City of Atlantic Beach and in the area described in section 1 at the next city-wide election held in the City of Jacksonville. There shall be at least 30 days' notice of the election as provided in s. 100.342, Florida Statutes. The election shall be paid for the City of Jacksonville, and the expenditure of funds for this purpose is a proper county expense.
