Who Needs a License

Step 2: Pass the Licensure Examination

Per Fla. Stat. § 489.111, applicants must pass a written examination administered by the CILB that tests knowledge of the home inspection trade, construction practices, and applicable Florida law.

Step 3: Submit Application to CILB

Apply directly to the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board. Include proof of education hours, documented experience, and examination results. Current fees and application procedures are available through the CILB website.

Local Requirements
