Real Estate Licensing in Pebble Creek CDP, Florida
Who Needs a License
Under Florida law, a real estate broker or sales associate must hold a valid license to engage in real estate transactions. Fla. Stat. § 489.105 defines a "broker" as any person who, for compensation, sells, exchanges, purchases, rents, or leases real property, or who negotiates or offers to negotiate any of these transactions on behalf of others. A "sales associate" is a person employed by or associated with a broker to perform these same activities.
If you engage in any real estate transaction—including residential or commercial property sales, leasing, property management involving negotiation of terms, or exchange of real property—you must hold the appropriate license.
