(a)

Any person legally entitled to apply for and receive a permit under the provisions of this chapter shall make such application in writing to the city on forms provided for that purpose. Every applicant for a permit shall give a description of the character of the work proposed to be done and the location, ownership, occupancy and use of the premises in connection therewith. The city may require plans, specifications or drawings and such other information as it may deem necessary and pertinent prior to the granting of a permit. If the city determines that the plans, specifications, drawings, descriptions or other information furnished by the applicant is in compliance with this chapter, the rules and regulations of any other department having jurisdiction and any other laws, rules and regulations pertaining to work proposed to be done, it shall issue the permit applied for upon payment of the required fee.

(b)

The order, sequence and prerequisite for making applications for service shall be as designated by the official.
