Fire marshal's authority to make arrests

The Fire Marshal and his designated representatives shall have power to make arrests for the violation of the provisions of this chapter or any city ordinances relating to fire prevention, fire control or the abatement of fire hazards. In the investigation of fires, bombings, or any attempt of fires or bombings or any related offenses, the Fire Marshal and his designated representatives shall have the same authority as police officers, including the right to bear arms. This authority shall be regulated by the Fire Marshal.
