Purpose

The general purposes of this article are:

(1)

To provide for execution within the city the policies embodied in Title II of Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended.

(2)

To secure for all individuals within the city the freedom from discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, familial status or marital status in connection with public accommodations, and thereby to promote the interests, rights and privileges of individuals within the city.
