Unlawful practices

Section: 12-64

It is an unlawful discriminatory practice for a person, because of the race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, familial status or marital status of any person:

(1)

Directly or indirectly, to refuse, withhold from, deny or deprive, or attempt to withhold from, deny or deprive any person any of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages and accommodations of any place of public accommodation.

(2)

Directly or indirectly, to publish, circulate, issue, display, post or mail any written or printed communication, notice or advertisement, to the effect that any of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages and accommodations of any place of public accommodation shall be refused, withheld from or denied to any person, or that the patronage of any such person is unwelcome, objectionable or not acceptable, desired or solicited.

(3)

Directly or indirectly, to segregate any person at a place of public accommodation, or to segregate any person in regards to the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages and accommodations of any place of public accommodation.

(4)

To intimidate, threaten, coerce or interfere, or attempt to intimidate, threaten, coerce or interfere with any person in the exercise or enjoyment of, or on account of such person having aided or encouraged any other person in the exercise or enjoyment of, any right granted or protected by the provisions in this article.
