Cooperation with other counties and municipalities

The city may join or cooperate with other counties and municipalities in acquiring, operating, and maintaining parks, playgrounds and recreation centers, and other recreation facilities and activities. The acquisition, operation, and maintenance of parks, department managed lands, playgrounds, recreation centers and other recreation facilities is hereby expressly recognized and declared to be a public and governmental function of the city.
