Title 16 · Chapter 16 - PARKS AND RECREATION

Fees; revocation of permit, abandoned vessels or watercraft

Section: 16-69

(a)

All watercraft and vessels shall be charged fees established by resolution of the city council for use of docks or slips or anchorage facilities at any city marina or any designated mooring field.

(b)

Rules and regulations shall be posted at the marinas and mooring fields. Any violation of permit requirements, including timely payment of fees, or violation of any rule or regulation shall be reason for revocation of the permit by the department.

(1)

Once a permit has been revoked, the marina coordinator will provide the vessel or watercraft owner or operator with written notice of the revocation. If no vessel operator or owner is located on or about the vessel at the time of the revocation, the marina coordinator will post such notice on the vessel, and send notice by certified mail to the last registered owner of the vessel, if reasonably obtainable, informing such owner of the revocation of the permit. If the vessel is not removed within seven (7) days from the date of revocation, a notice of violation shall be posted on the vessel and the city shall commence removal and disposal proceedings in accordance with F.S. ch. 705, ch. 328 or ch. 823, or any amended or successor statutes.
